Eloise M. Strasser, age 71, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 2:16pm at the Wyandot Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
Eloise was born on June 18, 1946 in Seneca County, Ohio, to Elmer and Vita (Holman) Wagner, both of whom are deceased. She married Michael Strasser on January 6, 1968 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Tiffin, Ohio and he survives.
She is survived by 4 children: Teressa (Jonathan) Grega of Howard, Ohio, Beth (Travis) Rupp of Delaware, Ohio, Christy (Jarrod) Coburn of Upper Sandusky, Dan (Jackie) Strasser of Delaware, Ohio. 8 grandchildren: Nicholas and Carter Grega, Tiffany Rupp, Caryn, Javen Caroline and Jacen Coburn, Mason Hague. Along with a sister Rose Werling of Findlay, Ohio.
Eloise was a 1964 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School and furthered her education Elkhart University of Medical and Dental Technique as a dental nurse. She worked for a time as a dental hygienist in Tiffin, then after getting married she was a homemaker and worked in retail sales in the Upper Sandusky area with Big Wheel/Pamida and A & A Grocery.
Eloise was a member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church where she was active in the choir. She was a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia, where she served in their “shut in” ministry.
She was also active alongside of her husband within the Knights of Columbus #2050 in Upper Sandusky.
For hobbies she enjoyed music of all kinds, and singing in the church choir. She will be remembered for her love for her family, and her tremendous heart for serving and helping others in need.
A memorial service for Eloise M. Strasser will be held at 11:00am Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Father Antony Varghese Vattaparambil, OFM, Conv officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitations will be held on Friday, September 22, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
