Keris L. Riebel, age 22, of Marion, and formerly of Nevada, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 1, 2023, in Upper Sandusky.
Keris was born on September 28, 2000, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Benjamain and Shandell (Dunlap) Dilgard, who survive in Nevada, Ohio. She is also survived by her husband Jordan Riebel where they resided together in Marion, Ohio.
She is survived by her sister Shelbi Dilgard, and brother Cameron (Haley) Dilgard, both of Nevada. Paternal grandparents, Terry and Carol Dilgard of Bucyrus, and Paternal great grandmother, Ann Gregory of Bucyrus. Along with maternal grandparents, Chris and Tess Dunlap of Toledo, Debbie and John Kellogg of Nevada, and Maternal great grandmother, Joyce Daiber of Nevada. She is also survived by mother-in-law Amy Cook, father-in-law Adam Riebel, and sister-in-laws, Alisha and Briana Riebel.
Keris was a 2019 graduate of Wynford High School who actively participated in cheerleading. Her classmates remember seeing her walk through the halls with a huge smile and a bible in her hand. Keris attended Cedarville University and later transferred to Franklin University where she received a BA in HR Business Management.
While pursuing her degree, Keris worked at Rural King where she met her soulmate, Jordan. Her parents recall Keris saying that the first time they met, she knew he was “the one”. She married Jordan, the love of her life, on October 8, 2022.
Growing up, Keris was a member of Antioch Christian Church where Pastor Paul Altstadt preached. He later united them in holy matrimony. After marriage, Keris and Jordan began the search to find a place to grow together with their faith in Christ. Upon hearing Pastor Daniel McCoy give his first message, Keris knew that Trinity Baptist Church would be the one.
Keris had a great love for Our Lord. She loved the bible and was devoted daily in reading the scriptures. Her heart for the Lord was reflected in the way she lived life, always having a smile, and her loving spirit and kindness for others. She will never be forgotten.
