Clarice K. Atherholt

Clarice K. Atherholt, age 82, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 7:31am at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio.

Clarice was born on December 29, 1941 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, to Albert Traxler and Garnetta (Kinley-Ballentine) Traxler, both of whom are deceased.  She was raised by her grandmother, and her Aunt Dorothy Kinley Horn.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Gregory) Franz of South Bend, Indiana, and a son, Jessie Atherholt of Upper Sandusky. 5 grandchildren: Mason (Trudy) Sprang of Nashport, Ohio, Brandon (Mary Jane) Stansbery of Berea, Ohio, Nicholas (Hannah) Stansbery of McCutchenville, Ohio, Katie (Tommy) Franz of Portland, Michigan, and Kirsten (Jake) Bartell of Potterville, Michigan, and a great granddaughter, Aislynn.  Along with a sister, Nancy (Ron) Bolender of Eaton, and a longtime companion, Rick Stover of Upper Sandusky.

Clarice is preceded in death by a brother, Donald Traxler, and a sister, Bonnie Cutcher. 

She was a 1959 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and went on to retire in 2004 from Dana-Continental Hose in Upper Sandusky after many years.

Clarice was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Upper Sandusky, where she was active as a Sunday School Teacher, and served as a board member. 

For hobbies, she enjoyed crafts, gardening, volunteering at Fairhaven Home, and loving on her animals, especially her cats and Shadow Howard.

Services for Clarice Atherholt were private with Pastor Brad McKibben officiating, and burial taking place at Old Mission Cemetery
