Paul Stansbery Obituary

Paul Ray Stansbery, age 67, of Marseilles, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at Grant Medical Center, in Columbus surrounded by family. His passing was due to complications from an accident on Wednesday

Paul was born October 8, 1951 in Wyandot County to Guy and Lucille (Pryor) Stansbery, both of whom are deceased.

He enjoyed his years with his wife of over 8 years,Barbara Jean as well as their children: Benjamin (Jill) Stansbery of Nevada, Jeneane (Brian) Welty of Alabama, Jermie (Amber) Adkins of Georgia, Ashley Adkins of Marion. Along with his 8 grandchildren,  Shane (Mikayla) Stansbery, Zackary Welty, Cameron Welty, Ellaleigh Welty, Athan Adkins, Lilly Adkins and Lincoln Bonsel.

Paul is survived by his twin sister Paulette Mowery of Fostoria, brothers Roger of Crosby, Texas; Tim of Sycamore, Ohio; Gary of Bowling Green, Ohio; and sisters Rose Feltis of Cape Coral, FL and Diane Gregory of Pickens, SC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, along with siblings; Vicky Stansbery, Phil Stansbery, Norman Stansbery, Sammy Stansbery, Alice McCarthy and Peggy Raymond

Paul retired from Guardian Glass in Upper Sandusky in 2014 after many years, and was currently serving as a Marseilles Township Trustee.

For hobbies, he enjoyed hunting with family over the years for white-tail deer. He was always ready to track anyone’s game. A true outdoorsman through & through.

A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, these all describe Paul Stansbery. He encompassed all these titles with his gentle nature. He will be remembered by many and missed by more.

Paul will always be remembered as the warm-hearted, fun-loving, big-hearted, fierce competitor in games of corn hole, horse shoes or family card games. Usually with a gleam in his eye or a smirk on his face we would make the final play as the winner. As a result, we are all the winners for having known him and sharing his life with ours.
