Charles E. “Fat Man” Brown, age 63, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 23, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Charles was born on September 26, 1954 in Marion, Ohio to Roy Brown and Joan (Crider) Brown, both of whom are deceased. He was once married to Laurie Jean Merriman Mackling and they divorced.
Charles is survived by a son, Charles E. Brown, Jr. of Upper Sandusky and a step daughter, Clarissa Mackling, also of Upper Sandusky. Two brothers, James (Cheryl) Brown of Upper Sandusky and Richard (Deb) Brown of Harpster, also survive, as well as three sisters: Mary Snyder, Terese (Joe) Woodruff and Karen Hall, all of Upper Sandusky. Charles is survived by two brothers in law: Verne Stowe and Tom Beltz, both of Upper Sandusky.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Rickie Stowe and Lori Brown.
He had worked for Vinco Stave Mill, Roger Henry Trucking and Watkins Logging & Excavating.
Charles enjoyed working on cars, fishing and watching tractor pulls, going to demolition derby’s and monster truck competition and wrestling, as well as listening to country music.
Graveside services for Charles Brown will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Old Mission Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 9:30am to 10:30am at Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
