Leonard L. Rollison

Leonard L. Rollison, Sr. age 89, of Upper Sandusky, and formerly of Marion, passed away on

Friday, September 16, 2016 at 3:00am at Sunrise Senior Living in Findlay, Ohio.

Leonard was born on August 29, 1927 in Marion, Ohio to Cedric and Helen (Hart) Rollison, both of whom are deceased.  He was first married to Wanda Faye Shephard on January 1, 1948 and she passed away on December 25, 1995.  He then married Jo Anne Foreman on February 15, 2003 and she survives.

He is survived by three children: Leonard Jr. (Jennifer) Rollison of Aberdeen, Mississippi, Phyllis “PJ” (Craig) Boblenz of Marion, and Rev. Jeff (Kim) Rollison of Troy, Ohio.  Along with  seven grandchildren: Leonard Rollison III, Heather Rollison, Rachel Rollison, Kirk and Kyle Boblenz, Amber and Stephanie Rollison, and four great grandchildren. 

Leonard is survived by a sister, Marilyn Bonsel of Marion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a grandson Kristropher Boblenz, five brothers: Robert, Laverne, Lavonne, David and Gayle Rollison, and a sister, Carol Pickens.

Leonard worked as an electrician for over 40 years for the former Pollack and Armco Steel, in Marion.

He was a former member of the Marion First Church of the Nazarene, and Grand Prairie Baptist Church, and had been attending Harpster United Methodist Church.

For hobbies Leonard enjoyed repairing and building clocks, traveling throughout the United States in his motorhome, and helping others with his ability to fix almost anything. 

Funeral services for Leonard L. Rollison, Sr. will be held at 2:00pm Monday, September 19, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, with Rev. Soo-Hea Park officiating.  Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery.

Visitations will be held 2 hours before service time, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, on Monday at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
