Carolyn O. Cole

Carolyn O. Gubernath - Cole, age 78, of Nevada, Ohio, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2016 at 

8:12 pm at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Carolyn was born on May 6, 1938 in Crawford County, Ohio to Wilson Edward “Ed” and Esther (Stauffer) Gubernath, both of whom are deceased.

She is survived by 4 sons, Jimmy Cole of Bucyrus, Melvin Cole of Nevada, Dave Cole of Willard, Bryan Cole of Bucyrus, and a daughter Carol Cole of Bucyrus.  7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, along with a brother Melvin Gubernath of Nevada, and a sister, Marilyn Elsten of Lapel, Indiana.

Carololyn was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Bucyrus, where she participated in the Sunday School programs.

For hobbies, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, embroidery, vegetable and flower gardening, and cooking.

Funeral services for Carolyn O. Cole will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, May 26 at the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Ray Lasalle officiating.  Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Sulphur Springs.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the church.
